About Me

Hello!  I am excited about this school year, and I look forward to getting to know you as the year progresses. In the meantime, I will share some information about me.

My name is Tammy Oaks Davis. I attended Belmont School and graduated in 1991 as Salutatorian of my class.  I attended Northeast Mississippi Community College and graduated in 1995 with a degree in Engineering and in 2002 with a degree in Computer Programming Technology.  I completed a Bachelor’s degree in 2004 at the University of North Alabama in Business with minors in Mathematics and Computer Information Systems.

My teaching experience in the classroom includes being a Teacher’s Assistant for K-2nd grade, a SPED Inclusion Assistant for K-3rd grade, and an Instructor for Ole Miss – Tupelo’s Continuing Education Department. I began teaching mathematics at Belmont School in January 2009.

I am married to Greg Davis and together we have three children.   My daughter Hannah is a freshman at Itawamba Community College.  My son Noah is in 10th grade at Belmont High School. My step-daughter Megan is in 10th grade at Sulligent High School.

My family pets include a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Ripley and a calico cat named Cali.

Some of my hobbies and interests include: spending time with my family and friends, computers, web design, bird watching, reading, sports, music, camping, fishing, cooking, and playing card and board games.

My classroom goals are to provide a supportive and fun classroom environment that will equip the student with the skills to be successful in the class that I am teaching to them then, future math classes, and to ultimately be a productive member of society.
